We’re excited to announce a new initiative that will help us branch out and reach even more neighborhoods across the city! We’re launching the Community Yard Tree Giveaway Program, an opportunity for community groups and local businesses across the city to help restore Phillly’s urban forest and beautify their neighborhoods – starting in their own back yards! TreePhilly will provide five grants worth $500 and 50 trees – a $2000 value – for community groups to hold yard tree giveaways in their neighborhoods this fall. Recipients will also receive event planning and promotion guidance, free mulch, and educational materials.
