TreePhilly is a program of Philadelphia Parks & Recreation. We strive to empower Philadelphians to enrich life in their neighborhoods through the planting, care of, and connection with trees. Launched in response to the Office of Sustainability’s Greenworks Plan. TreePhilly strives to reach 30% tree canopy coverage in every Philadelphia neighborhood.
We work to reverse the city’s unequal and declining tree canopy by providing resources and education, and nurturing relationships between neighbors, institutions and the land we live on.
Through our Community Yard Tree Giveaways, we provide community members free trees to plant in their yards!
Have a yard? Get a free yard tree! TreePhilly gives out over 1,500 free trees with the help of our community partners each spring and fall. Through our Community Yard Tree Giveaway Program, residents can get a free yard tree to plant on private property from the community partner in their neighborhood.
