Share Your Tree Story

We want to hear about the fascinating trees of Philadelphia and what they mean to you! Maybe your story is about the free yard tree you picked up at one of our giveaway events, maybe it’s about a tree you love to read under in your neighborhood park, or maybe it’s even about a tree you remember climbing as a child. Whatever your tree story is, we want to hear it!

There’s no better way to spend a day than giving out free trees! We’re always looking for volunteers to help out at our yard tree giveaway events each spring and fall. Activities range from greeting guests and working the registration table to providing planting demonstrations, bagging mulch, and helping folks carry their trees to the car.

We currently do not offer volunteer plantings, but if you are interested in planting trees we encourage you to join your local Park Friends group or getting involved with the PHS Tree Tenders group in your neighborhood.

Studies show that home ownership is a good predictor of tree health and survival. That is why we’re reaching out to realty agents to help us connect with new homeowners. REP TreePhilly provides realty agents with resources for everything trees in Philadelphia.

Give a Tree!

Help us continue our mission to give Philadelphia residents the resources they need to plant and care for trees. By donating $25 (the cost of one yard tree) to TreePhilly through our nonprofit partner the Fairmount Park Conservancy, you can help us restore our urban forest – one tree at a time.
