About Us

Launched in response to the Office of Sustainability’s Greenworks Plan, TreePhilly strives to reach 30% tree canopy coverage in every Philadelphia neighborhood. We help local residents connect with the resources they need to plant and care for the Philadelphia urban forest. Learn how you can make your neighborhood greener with TreePhilly below.

Treekeepers
Tree Keepers

Our seasonal maintenance crew works hard to beautify our neighborhood parks, playgrounds, and recreation centers. The team prunes trees, removes invasive species, and assists with special projects at Parks & Rec facilities across the city. The TreeKeepers program also offers a pipeline to green careers by providing on-the-job training and education to crew members, some of whom are ex-offenders.
