TreePhilly Ambassadors

Be a TreePhilly Ambassador!

There are lots of opportunities to volunteer with TreePhilly, especially during the spring and fall planting seasons.  Check out the volunteer descriptions below and contact us to let us know how you want to get involved!

  • TreePhilly Events Ambassador – There are many wonderful events happening all over the City of Philadelphia, and each one represents an opportunity to tell people about TreePhilly!  TreePhilly Events Ambassadors volunteer to table at festivals, community days, and resource fairs to tell attendees about the many different ways they can get a free tree through TreePhilly.  Each Events Ambassador will attend a short training and receive a toolkit of materials to take to events with them.  The TreePhilly Manager will pass along opportunities to the group and the Event Ambassadors can choose which events they are available to attend.
  • TreePhilly Planting and Care Ambassadors – Each spring and fall TreePhilly gives away free yard trees to homeowners through the TreePhilly Yard Tree Program.  TreePhilly Planting and Care Ambassadors volunteer at giveaway events to teach new tree owners how to properly plant and care for their new tree.  Several Planting and Care Ambassador trainings will take place each season, along with at least 8 giveaway events, and Ambassadors can come to the events that fit into their schedule.

Interested?  Contact Erica Smith Fichman, TreePhilly Manager, to sign up – erica.smith@phila.gov, 215 683-0217.
