The Forest of Fame
October 2018: Hasan Malik
What is the Forest of Fame?
The TreePhilly Forest of Fame is our latest initiative to honor the partners, volunteers and community members who have helped Philly become the City of Arborly Love. From organizing tree giveaways to becoming dedicated tree parents, these folks know how to leaf a lasting impact while greening their communities. Get to know our inductrees, and stay tuned for a new inductree next month!

TreePhilly Forest of Fame Inductree October 2018:
Why he’s tree-mendous
Hasan Malik has been working with TreePhilly for years, but we could tell right away that he was a budding tree star. While still in college, Hasan founded the volunteer group Tree Northeast and organized a whole bunch of tree plantings in Northeast Philadelphia. He also partnered with TreePhilly to host yard tree giveaways at Pennypack Environmental Center. Eventually, Hasan branched out and started his very own tree nursery in Bucks County, which currently grows all of TreePhilly’s yard trees. Our admiration for everything Hasan does for trees only continues to grow, which is why we’re honored to have him as a 2018 Forest of Fame Inductree. You can make the TreePhilly Forest flourish, too.
